How do I become Jobber or Dealer?
You can fill out the Dealer Application . Once you have provided your company’s basic information, a BLOX sales representative will follow-up with your inquiry. You will need to provide additional information in your follow-up in order to start an account with the sales and shipping departments. Are any of the Blox products currently CARB exempt or smog compliant?
We are currently in the process of seeking CARB (CA Air Resource Board) certification for certain camshafts and our intake manifolds. In general, certain performance products before the catalytic converter(s) require a CARB EO# to be legal for sale/usage in the state of CA. Products located after the catalytic converter(s) do not need any kind of exemption, provided the catalytic converter(s) have not been removed or modified. However, certain states may have a noise restriction on exhaust systems and mufflers.
Do I need to change the valve springs and retainers when I install the BLOX Camshafts?
The only exception is the Blox Tuner Series, Type A camshafts which can be used with the stock valve springs and retainers. With other applications, due to the increase lift and duration, you do need to install aftermarket valve springs and retainers.
Mitsubishi 4G63 engines will require the replacement of the factory valve springs and retainers with a heavy duty aftermarket product.
Which is the correct camshaft for my application?
It would depend solely on the enthusiast or engine builder in charge of the modifications. You will have to decide what the vehicle's main purpose will be - high performance street, drag racing, road racing, nitrous, turbocharged, supercharged, etc. It is also critical to know what other parts will be used, compression ratio, horsepower goals, etc.
